MEMORIAL FLIGHT

I have been proud to have helped this charity keep an important part of British aviation history flying. The magazine is produced to inform and promote the Association’s work. The Association was started in the 1970s by a group of historic aviation enthusiasts, who wanted to contribute towards keeping the Lancaster bomber and associated aircraft, flying. To that end they formed an association and have grown the membership to 6,000. Each year these members receive a twice yearly magazine, and promotional material. The magazine is divided into historic accounts of Lancaster crews missions during the War and news about the current status of the Lancaster. I was approached by the Editor, Tom Allett, to refresh the magazine and help produce the magazine. Tom and I have worked together for a number of years on the magazine. We have moved from a very basic setup to a sophisticated remote office arrangement, which has helped myself develop systems and methods for magazine production via the internet.
